Static Transfer Switch – iSTS

iSTS first function is to transfer seamlessly (<1/4 of cycle, 5ms @50Hz) and automatically loads to an alternate source if the preferred one fails.

The iSTS can also be remotely controlled to switch between two sources or to isolate the load.

Users supplied by Grid Only
  • The System (Solar + Storage) generates power sold to the Grid
  • The System does not fix the retailing prices
  • Users are supplied from the Grid and can choose their energy retailer
Users supplied by Micro Grid Only
  • The System buys off-peak energy from the Grid and redistributes during on-peaks
  • The System is available during Grid outages
  • The System can fix on/off-peak prices to Users.
  • The System is “monopolistic”; Users cannot choose their retailer
Users supplied by Micro Grid and Grid
  • The System buys off-peak energy from the Grid and redistributes during on-peaks
  • The System is available during Grid outages
  • Storage availability can be extended by shedding Users.
  • The System can fix on/off-peak prices to Users.
  • Users can choose to be supplied by their retailer AND the System

Most regulations give to Users/Consumers the right to choose and change their energy retailer;
with iSTS, Users can be supplied from traditional retailers and/or from the System.
Thanks to iSTS, the System is fully flexible opening new business opportunities.
